My partner and I are seeking land to lease long term or lease to own in southern New Mexico to start a seed production farm. We intend to grow native seed to provide land managers with local genotypes for ecological restoration, as well as provide farmers and gardeners with seed that will promote pollinator habitat. We also will grow and selectively breed drought adapted crop seed and utilize agroforestry principals to integrate crop and seed production. We each have many years of farming experience throughout the western U.S., and have been working in organic farming and conservation ecology fields for several years in southern NM.
