Roots Farm in Adelino, NM, just south of Los Lunas, uses all organic farming practices. The farm is 20 acres with about 2 acres of produce. We grow a variety of produce that is mostly sold wholesale to customers in the area. In addition, we sell produce at the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque Growers Market on Saturday mornings. This year we are growing tomatoes, bell peppers, melons, chile peppers and pinto beans. The intern should be available to work five days a week for 5 to 8 hours per day but this is negotiable. Tasks include harvesting, washing and packing produce, watering and fertilizing plants and weeding. In addition we will be erecting a high tunnel and planting late fall crops in it.
